Staggered Entry
Staggered entry provides an opportunity for small groups of students to visit their classroom, meet the staff, meet new friends and become acclimated with our learning environment before the whole class comes together.
During the Home Visit, Your Child's Teacher will let you know what staggered day your child should attend their 1st Day of Preschool at Thompson Early Childhood Center.
2026-2027 Staggered Days

1st Day, If your child attends school on August 31, then they will stay home on September 1st and 2nd.

2nd Day, If your child attends school on September 1st, then they will stay home on August 31 and September 2nd.

3rd Day, If your child attends school on September 2nd, then they will stay home on August 31 and September 1st.

4th Day, All PreK students attend school on September 3rd!
