B. Medication Administration

1.  The school nurse or the classroom teaching staff may administer medication (prescription and/or over-the-counter such as Tylenol, Ibuprofen, sunscreen, lip balm, etc) to your child during school hours.

2.  "Permission to Administer Medication" form must be completed and signed by both parent/guardian and physician.  Return the completed form with your child's medication to your school nurse.

3.  Prescription medications must be in a pharmacy-labeled container.  Over-the-counter medication must be in a new, clean and sealed container.

4.  Medication must be brought to the school by a parent/guardian or designated adult.  Do not send medication in your child's backpack or give it to the bus driver.
